Tight, wooden, staved casks both double-headed and single.
We don't make a living at cooperage, aren't an Amazon.com or Walmart, but we do try to make some of the finest cooperage in North America on Sundays and Mondays. We will try to get your order out to you as close as possible to our projected shipping date, but we do ask our clients' patience.
Any cooperage marked with the maker's mark above is the product of Gary Stephens, cooper of Five Rivers Chapmanry.
About our Cooper
Gary Stephens of Five Rivers Chapmanry, one of North America's premiere historical coopers, fashions buckets, pails, tubs, a selection of whiteware casks and barrels of various sizes, using traditional tools and methods. Each vessel is a tribute to the coopers of old, all properly shaped to form a rounded, smooth container, watertight through craftsmanship not glues or sealants, all of which will endure.
Some of his work forms part of the reproduction artifact collection at L'anse aux Meadows Museum, Newfoundland, a World Heritage Site; Sharlot Hall Museum, Arizona; The Bradley House, Ohio; The Gibson House, Toronto, Ontario; Fort Delware, as well as living history sites throughout North America.
